Homemade bubble tea

There is nothing more satisfying than a cup of bubble tea with pearls on a hot summer day. My craving for it finally drove me to make some myself.
Basic ingredients are, 1 packet of Nagasaki honey milk green tea. This instant drink taste really nice and the honey taste is strong. Dissolve in some hot water.

Pearls bought from a supermarket in US. I dun think it is available here in Israel. People here dun drink bubble tea, coz I never saw it being sold in any of the restaurants nor have I ever seen anyone drinking it.

After boiling the pearls and mixing it with some honey or sugar syrup, this is how it finally looks like. Chewy....yum yum....

And last but not least, my martini shaker. Add ice cubes, the honey milk tea and shake shake shake.....

Voila! The good old honey milk tea is done! Managed to keep the fat straw when I was in the states drinking bubble tea coz I knew it will come in handy..haha :)

Homemade Fan choy

First time making fan choy. Taste quite like the real thing although it doesn't look very attractive. Got my recipe from ellenaguan.blogspot. Nice website with a lot of recipes. Missed the fan choy I always used to eat from Tiong Bahru market. About 2 more months to go and I will be back home in SG...haha....air tickets already booked. Going to tuck into my fan choy now before it gets cold....bon appetite! :)

New iPad pouch

It's been a while since I made anything, so decided to make a pouch for my new iPad. Decided on this star theme design. It's padded on both sides for protection and the star on the bottom left was made with felt and stuffed with cottonwool to make it squishy.

Back view of the pouch.

It fits just nice, a bit tight at the sides though. The lid also turned out to be slightly crooked. Sianz...

Inside of the pouch was lined with star theme fabric. Took me about 2 days to get this done, getting rusty with using the sewing machine.
